Smart phones, smart TVs, and even smart cars. It seems like all of the inanimate objects we surround ourselves with are getting smarter. So how about a smart vibrator?
That's exactly what we're dealing with today, the Vibease smart vibrator. How smart is it, exactly?
Well, hopefully by the end of this article you'll have more than a layman's idea of what it's capable of. The whole smart moniker comes from the fact that it is a Bluetooth sex toy, which means it's all about the extra functionality that being a remote control vibrator paired to a smartphone brings.
No fumbling with buttons while you're using the toy (although the option is still there), no limited range of stimulation and vibration patterns either. These kinds of vibrators aren't necessarily new, with all Lovense toys being of the Bluetooth enabled variety and many other vibrator offerings from other companies like the app-enabled We-Vibe Nova or the remote controlled Lyla 2, but the Vibease strikes out on its own in ways that these companies don't have a similar offering for.
Not only that, their aim with all of these extra Bluetooth shenanigans goes leaps and bounds further with regards to helping out long distance couples, so naturally I dove deep into that and I'll be able to tell you about my experiences with it later.
This vibrator meant for stunning clitoral stimulation and just a pinch of internal stimulation makes it a bit like a bullet vibrator, but there's a twist. Well, more of a curve actually.
The toy is gently curved to also be a wearable vibrator on top of it all. I'm a girl who loves versatility, with all of these so-called luxury sex toys that can get fairly expensive, I really appreciate it when they aren't just a one trick pony. But is this toy a jack of multiple trades and a master of none?

The Vibease Wearable Vibrator
First off, let's get what this thing is made of out of the way immediately. It's a 100% body-safe silicone vibrator, so it gets points for being safe right off the bat. It's also completely waterproof and USB rechargeable.
The shape and size of it makes it less intimidating than some of the more aggressive looking vibrators I own. It's 3.1 inches long, 1.5 inches wide, and 0.8 inches thick. Shaped more or less like a kidney bean with a little extra on one end to help the clitoris out, it fits in the hand like a newborn kitten.
This tip is meant to go into the area housing the clitoris and isn't meant to hook inside the vagina itself, the toy doesn't offer much in the way of internal stimulation unless you really work for it, and even then I'd say it's probably using the toy not how it was designed.
Instead of the app control being just a side effect or an "added bonus" like on some toys, the app control is actually central to using the toy and all of its features. The only wire is the charging cable and you'll hardly need to worry about that when it's in use. Pairing the toy with the app is the best way to make full use of the toy, as there are only two buttons on the toy itself. These buttons are simply power and another that cycles through the default vibration speeds in ascending order of intensity.
So what can this app really do? Well, for solo use, it opens up the opportunity to have your vibrator synced up to audiobooks. Those racy, raunchy, and sometimes captivating novels have been carefully transcribed and the vibrator moves along in intensity with what's going on in the story. There are a few free options to choose from to get a decent feel for this feature, and while I'm not much for erotica, those who are might find this a very compelling option to crank up their reading time to something a bit more sensual.
Besides being able to set the vibration intensity yourself with a sliding scale on the app instead of the presets you can cycle through with the buttons, the app has a completely functioning text and video chat system inside of it as well. During conversation and even while video is going, the user can have their partner play with the toy's sensations and see the effects of the toy on the wearer, the level of features and connectedness the app can bring is second to no other sex toy app my husband and I have ever used.
When worn underneath clothing, it's extremely quiet and could very easily be worn out in public, so long as nobody gets up close and personal with your waistline. That's even on the maximum setting, on top of it all.
As far as battery life goes, there's a full three hours life on something around a 90 minute charge, so it can definitely go the distance.
I've yet to give the Vibease a try in public underneath my panties, but it looks like it would fit well, I'm going to give it a shot soon and report back. If you're into this kind of thing, read my post about vibrating panties to check out some I've used myself and really like.
My Time With The Vibease
All of that information is well and good, but it was time for me to check out this toy in practical terms. Very quickly, I set myself to seeing what the Vibease can offer and push it to its limits.
As far as the Vibease in use for solo play, it's very pleasurable and I enjoy using the hooked tip to play around with my clitoris and labia. It's easy to hold on to and get into some of the finer, more sensitive parts of my body with relative ease.
When I think about how powerful the toy is, it definitely isn't one of the most powerful toys I own, not by a long shot. I can still bring myself to orgasm but compared to a bullet vibrator like the We-Vibe Tango it caps out at what I'd consider to be about 7/10 of what the Tango can offer.
So, it's stimulating and fun but don't expect to be blown away with raw power. Accessory work is the Vibease's forte, plus I know some women are more sensitive than I am down there so it might be a welcome change from some more jackhammer-esque toys.
Now onto the long distance aspect of the toy and all of the features of the app. I did listen to a few audio books, and the vibration level does sync up very well with the rising tension within a novel. I didn't try out any of the paid offerings but a couple of the free ones are at least worth a shot if you're bored one night and want a more immersive e-book experience.
The level of communication here is impressive. It's got pretty much all of the features of Skype except your partner can also press a button or use a sliding scale to mess with the vibrator's, that's how to use the features given to your partner. Personally, I like it a lot when Don's in his hotel room and I can see that dumb grin on his face as he moves his finger around to make me wince and grin right back at him. Sometimes we'll even continue talking afterwards on the platform once our sexy play is over, as I seldom want to let him go after a little long distance sexual intimacy. In that regard, it's an amazing toy for long distance couples who want to stay in touch and keep things as fiery as possible even when away from each other.
Want Something A Big Bigger? Try Esthesia
While the Vibease vibrator is their flagship product, if you want to make use of their very well thought out app with a toy that's more like the standard vibrators out there, their rabbit style Esthesia vibrator is a great choice.
It's a fully silicone rabbit vibrator with pretty much all of the same offerings as far as waterproofing and battery life than the regular Vibease offers. The clitoral arm is pretty wide but does taper down to a pretty useful tip, and the other arm is gently curved for perfect G-spot hunting.
Essentially, it's the kind of toy you want if you need to have all of your bases covered no matter the occasion.

My Final Thoughts
Personally, I'm loving how much mainstream technology is starting to meld together with sex toy technology. Sex toys are out of the sleazy sex shops and now being marketed the same way most other products are, except with a lot more innuendo thrown around.
I think the Vibease vibrator is just the beginning of a much wider trend in vibrators that are meant to have almost limitless uses and functionalities. For long distance couples, the Vibease works well and the addition of a chat client makes it so you don't just have to abandon your partner once the erotic parts are done. If I really have to think about it, I've probably spent more time on the video chat with my husband after I've had my fun than using the toy itself. That means a lot to me, so I appreciate what this vibrator brings to the playing field.
