We-Vibe Ditto Review:

My Opinion After Testing It

Written by: Angela Watson | Updated: May 7th, 2023

We've had this site for about a year now and we were thinking to ourselves, is there anything we're neglecting as far as sex toys go?

It turns out, there was. Anal toys, to be precise.

It took me a while to slowly warm Don up to the idea of giving these things a go while I'm much more adventurous by default. So, we figure it is about time we ventured out much more wholeheartedly into the realm of butt plugs.

The sultry specimen on display today is the We-Vibe Ditto. I'd assume the name Ditto is because it was designed for both his and her pleasure, therefore, ditto.  It rolls off the tongue and gives you enough to think about, I suppose.  Since it is from We-Vibe we were treated to the standard We-Vibe fare, meaning it is made from entirely body-safe materials and is used wirelessly through a remote so you don't have to think about craning your arm back to adjust the speed or yell out your partner's name to as you vibrate your way out of the bedroom while they hurriedly try to adjust the settings.

That'd make for a pretty funny comedy sketch, but I digress.

What really drew us into the Ditto was the fact that it isn't an absolute behemoth of an anal unit. I get it that people like their butt plug on the meatier side, but it is relaxing to not have to whip out a grapefruit-sized apparatus just to get a little tushy touch going on.

What Is The We-Vibe Ditto?

Constructed entirely from 100% medical grade silicone with two buttons made from ABS plastic and guaranteed free from BPA and phthalates, you can rest easy knowing there isn't much to worry about when it comes to material safety with the Ditto.

As for the shape of the toy, it isn't the standard conical shaped plug that comes to mind or the first page of image search. It is largely straight except for a bulge in the middle. The toy itself is about 3.5 inches long with about three inches of that being insertable. At its widest, the We-Vibe Ditto measures 1.2 inches across and the bulge in the middle of the toy protrudes about 1/2-3/4ths of an inch further than the main body of the toy. This makes the toy one of the smaller options while still having enough integrity to keep its place and make for some meaningful stimulation. Its all of the "Ooh" with none of the "Yikes!"

The vibrations can be characterized as rumbly as opposed to shaky and there are ten different modes to choose from. The first four are pretty standard and just ramp up in intensity from Low to Ultra. The other six are varied pulses and waves of different tempos and patterning.

Interestingly enough, there are technically three ways to use the We-Vibe Ditto. The first is by using the buttons on the device, the second is by using the included remote control, and the last is through the We-Care app. The buttons on the device and the remote control function to do the same things, but the app lets you customize vibration patterns and has a whole bunch of other interesting features that'll give you a bit more to play with.

The toy itself is completely waterproof but I must add that the remote is not, it is only water-resistant (marketing term for please don't get it wet). So if you're planning on using it in the shower you should know that you'll only have the built-in controls to work with or you'll have to keep the remote somewhere where it won't get splashed on too heavily.

It is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that is charged via USB. The standard lithium-ion battery rules apply, don't ever fully discharge it, only charge it once it is relatively dead, and if you plan on storing it for a long time you should get it to about forty percent charge before letting it sit unattended. A 90-minute charge can get you up to 2 hours of playtime depending on the level of intensity you choose. At the higher settings, you'll still be able to get at least around 80 minutes so the charge to use ratio on the Ditto is very agreeable.

If your Ditto doesn't live up to these standards, send it back in. There's a two-year warranty that covers a wide array of issues. To make things as easy as possible I'd suggest giving it a dry run before inserting it. Returning used butt plugs usually requires you to jump through some hoops even if the product actually is defective.

Our Experience With The Ditto

Since this is advertised as a couple's butt plug Don and I had no choice but do both try it out on our own as well as give it a shot during sex.

Here's my take on the Ditto. First off was some me time, no husbands allowed. I generously applied some water-based lube with one hand while keeping another hand free and clean to use the remote control.

It's ridiculously easy to insert due to the overall shape of the tip and how small the toy is overall. I put it in all the way and even shook my behind around a little to see how well it kept itself in place.

The way it extends forwards into the anal cavity makes for an extremely snug fit despite the size and there's enough of a handle for me to not worry I'll suck it up too far. Sorry for that mental image. Anyways, the rumbly vibrations were a great choice as they penetrate all the way through the wall that separates the anal cavity and the vagina. I was actually getting tingles all the way through to my vagina at the higher settings, not too shabby at all.

As far as when its used during sex, that's when the gloves come off. I give the remote to Don and let him toy with it as we go at it missionary style. The toy can give a satisfying feeling of fullness from behind while I get more than enough pleasure throughout from my husband. It makes for a very well-rounded experience that is hard to replicate. Since the toy doesn't take up much space I never feel overcrowded.

Here's Don's take on it, solo and in use:

"So I have another one of these butt plugs in my hand and Angela wants me to give it a go. The things you do for love, right? Just kidding, these things are starting to grow on me. Lubed up and inserted, its the most comfortable butt plug I've used thus far, and that might be because it is the smallest. There are no awkward feelings of stretching or that I might tear something in the moment. It doesn't extend high enough to do much for the prostate but the different vibration settings are interesting, bar none.

When it comes time to use it with Angela, I really like sharing the vibrations when she wears it and we have sex together. It gives much more pleasure to me and I really like the connection it brings between us, it's like a couple's vibrator except without having to have my junk rub up against silicone while I do my thing. All in all, I like it a lot."

Where I Bought It

We've bought all of our We-Vibe toys including the Ditto, from the official We-Vibe website.

The reason being is they offer the best price available online for all of their toys.

Something else I always like to mention in my reviews is that when you buy sex toys (especially online) you need to be sure you shop at trusted retailers. The reason I say that is because there are tons of fake sex toys for sale online, and We-Vibe has been targeted among other companies.

Only shop at trusted, vetted stores.

Last Words

The We-Vibe Ditto is the absolute best choice for those who want to get into anal play without having to commit to something that looks like it is right out of that part of the internet that nobody likes to admit they've ever visited. The battery life is great and the different vibration settings are all really great, I hope to see this kind of motor used in a lot more of We-Vibe's toys if I'm being completely honest. Its hard to hate but if you are looking for prostate stimulation or something that really fills you up then you aren't looking at the right toy, the Lovense Hush is more up your alley.

When I was done, I could for sure say that I came. And what did Don say when I asked him?

"Ditto."
