Special Condoms: Choosing the New Protection
Which One Is The Right Fit For You?
Written by: Don Watson | Updated: July 9th, 2021
I’m going to come out and say it right away, I’m not the biggest fan of using condoms when I have sex. As me and Angela are married, and both STD free, there are no concerns about any issues happening. Both me and her prefer it raw as do plenty of others out there.
That being said, I know there are plenty of you readers out there who either have a girlfriend who are hooking up with someone and you don’t want to worry about infection, pregnancy, or any of that.
While you do have to sacrifice some pleasure, I would say definitely wrap up your cock for your safety.
You’re probably familiar with the standard condoms out there, the Trojans, the Durex's, etc. What many people don’t know however is that there are plenty of special condoms out there for you to try out.
These can can give sex a special twist or just make it more pleasurable for both of you. Regardless, if you are having sex with a condom, you should definitely consider looking into sex with one of these special condoms.
Today’s a little different with this blog post. I’m not going to be talking about specific condoms and reviewing them, but instead just giving you information about the different special condoms out there and how you can use them for sex.
With any product, I did take them for a spin with Angela to see how they felt. While they can’t beat unprotected sex, I have to say some came pretty damn close. Here are some of the special condoms you’re going to find on the market.
Best Special Condoms
#1. Glow in the dark condoms
These are more of a novelty special condom than anything else. When I put one on, it felt similar to a regular condom, and you won’t notice a difference until you turn the lights off. Give this thing about 30 seconds to a minute in the light for it to build up its glow then make it dark.
I do have to say I was amused by my penis glowing in the dark and I started to wave it around like a lightsaber. In terms of sex, it felt like standard sex with a condom.
It’s enjoyable, but no condom is definitely better. I did constantly get distracted when I would pull out however and start swinging my dick around.
I’ll address the safety behind this condom right now. These special condoms have three layers, with the inner and outer layers consisting of regular latex that is 100% body safe for your penis and her vagina.
Between these two layers is the third glow in the dark pigment layer that helps give your willy the shine it desires. It’s a fun surprise and I definitely enjoyed playing with my dick when I had these special condoms on.
#2. Warming condoms
Just as the name sounds, warming condoms work to warm up your penis and the latex around it to recreate that warmth that your body gives off during sex.
I put on these special condoms and I have to say I was impressed with how thin they were. It felt pretty close to unprotected sex and if I didn’t know better, at times I felt like nothing was there.
After a few thrusts, the condom started to warm and heat up. How does it do this? The warming lubricant inside is activated by moisture within the body.
As soon as she starts getting wet and you start getting wet, this thing starts to heat up. I did enjoy the warming sensation and it soothed my penis and made sex quite relaxing, if that makes sense at all. I would definitely recommend giving these special condoms a try.
#3. Textured condoms
Textured condoms are special condoms on the market that are stylized in all different textures. The most common you are going to see out there is ribbed.
With ribbed and studded condoms, they can be pleasurable for both the man and the woman depending on where the texture is.
We went with a condom that had studs and ribs on the inside and the outside, to make the experience as enjoyable as possible for the both of us. It definitely did make sex quite enjoyable for her as the ribs allow for ultimate female pleasure.
The inside of the condom did make me feel things, but as I said, I prefer no condom. It does make for a great alternative if you have to wrap your willy up though.
#4. Pleasure-shaped condoms
These special condoms are pretty much identical to textured condoms in the sense that they have different textures and features on them to help make the experience as enjoyable as possible for both you and your partner.
What I did notice with these pleasure-shaped condoms however is that some had what is called a pleasure pouch that has a ripped area right near the tip of the penis.
I actually enjoyed this pouch as it added a little extra flair and sensation for both me and Angela during sex.
While they are quite similar to textured condoms, I felt that these special condoms deserved an entry of their own.
#5. French Ticklers
The first thing I have to say with these French tickler condoms is that they do not stop STDs or pregnancies at all. These are just novelty condoms built for you guys to have a little bit of fun.
Please don’t be using these and then be surprised if you find out you are going to be a father. If you want to be protected with this condom, wear a regular condom underneath this.
At the end of French tickler condoms is a special jelly like tickler tip that is sued to make sex for her that much better. As the name of these special condoms states, the point is to tickle the inside of her vagina.
We tried them out and Angela was actually surprised at how it felt. These condoms definitely do look a little silly but make up for it in feeling. We would definitely return to it if we wanted to make love in a fun way.
#6. Tingling Pleasure condoms
At first I was a little skeptical when it came to these special condoms. At first glance you might think of your condom as a vibrator or something inside of it, but no, there’s a spearmint lubricant inside that can help to provide your penis with a tingling sensation. The point of these condoms is to keep men interested in having sex even after they have finished.
Let’s face it guys, we aren’t the best at sex after we have finished. Even if we want to keep going, our little guy down there is spent and needs some time to recover and recharge.
The goal of this condom is to keep men interested and keep things feeling good, even if we aren’t at peak performance anymore.
I used this with Angela and I was actually quite intrigued by the tingling sensation. It’s hard to describe, but it was quite nice. When people hear spearmint they might think it’s an uncomfortable tingle but I have to say it’s not in any way.
It definitely kept me interested and I definitely kept doing my best even after I finished. I would recommend this special condom if you are someone who finishes extra fast in the bedroom.
Look guys, I know condoms aren’t the best to wear, but there no longer is an excuse for not wearing them with so many options out there. You can definitely find special condoms that are going to help both you and her climax and feel like you are on top of the world. If you’re feeling adventurous like I was, buy each of these and try them out on various nights.
You’ll be surprised at how well some of these work and recreate that bareback feeling. If you’re looking for a personal recommendation on special condoms, I’d definitely recommend you try out the warming condoms. Other than that, lovemaking is all up to you, so get figuring out what’s best for you and your partner.
